Denny's Adds Rock-N-Roll To Its Menu

I remember late nights at Denny’s back in the day. Odd mixes of midnight meals, neverending pots of coffee, packs of smokes snagged from our parents. Good times, good times.

QSR Magazine is reporting that the 24-hour, reliably-greasy-yet-yummy food giant is hoping to cash in on their late-night diners with their new ‘rock-n-roll’ menu.

“We teamed up with popular bands in an out-of-the-box way to develop a menu by rock stars for our rock star guests,” says Mark Chmiel, chief marketing and innovation officer for Denny’s. “Music and late night are a part of the Denny’s DNA. Denny’s has been a late-night destination for musicians, fans, crews, and crowds for over 50 years, so it is natural for us to have them create the meal they would most like to eat.”

The Rockstar menu, developed through collaboration with a few popular rock bands and Denny’s Culinary Innovation Chef Andrew Dismore, includes such favorites as the Taking Back Bacon Burger Fries (Taking Back Sunday), Plain White Shake (Plain White T’s), and the All American S.O.S (The All-American Rejects).

The restaurant also plans to have servers in jeans and ‘more alternative rock music’ for their late night service. In addition to the new promotional menu items, Denny’s is featuring their Adopt-A-Band program as well to support emerging music. Bands can receive free meals and promotional support – two things struggling musicians can always use! You can enter your band to become a Denny’s Adopted Band through their website.
